Essentially a big man that can just run from one rim to the other quickly and focus strictly on defense, shot-blocking, rebounding, catching lobs, etc. Before Drummond was benched he commanded the ball down in the low post and was really ineffective and nowhere near efficient. In Detroit and Cleveland, they would run set plays for him and he’s just not very good at executing. Now in LA and not being the main guy he can operate like a rim runner.

They should be able too. I mean LeBron and AD already command so much attention from defenses. Drummond (just realizing he is the new “AD” in town) hasn’t been in a situation like this before. He’s certainly skilled enough and Bron knows how to get the best out of his teammates.

Any team giving him more than the MLE would be a mistake. Drummond can be very solid when no plays are run from him which should be the case once the lakers are healthy. Hopefully he doesn't pick up bad habits while Lebron and AD are out

I think he can be a decent big body to pull in rebounds and protect the rim with athleticism that Gasol doesn't have and "size" that Trezz doesn't have. I'd certainly rather play him against Jokic and Ayton come playoff time than to ride AD, Gasol and Trezz into the ground against the best of the NBA. He serves a purpose at the right price.
